Block Printing Workshop: Design Your Own Summer Tote Bag!
Create a one-of-a-kind summer tote bag in this fun, hands-on art workshop! Students will learn the basics of block printing by carving their own designs into printing blocks and transferring them onto a canvas tote bag to take home.
Participants will use sharp carving tools under close supervision, so this workshop is best suited for children and teens who can follow safety instructions carefully.
Leave with a custom tote bag that's perfect for books, beach days, summer adventures, and more! 🎨👜☀️
My name is Sarah Castrigano, and I’m a licensed art teacher and practicing artist based in Ohio. After teaching PreK–8 art, I now focus fully on The Treehouse, where I develop Fine Art and STEAM programming for our growing community.
In small group settings, I guide students through engaging, age-appropriate projects using a wide variety of tools and materials. While each lesson includes a structured project, I encourage creativity, curiosity, and personal expression.
My own art practice centers around fiber arts, especially weaving and tapestry using recycled materials and natural inspiration. I studied ceramics and studio art at Baldwin Wallace, and my work has been exhibited locally at BW’s Ritter Library, Fawick Gallery, and the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center.
